  • Final Fantasy VIII tries to take a different approach to the Final Fantasy series; one that hasn't been taken very well by the community. One of the biggest changes to the series is the magic system. Obtaining magic requires you to "Draw" it from an enemy. This is incredibly annoying and troublesome, but it does add a bit of strategy to the game. Also, Final Fantasy VIII focuses a lot on romance, which is something the newer Final Fantasy games have started doing. The storyline is great. Too bad the game play is severely lacking.

  • This game is a very fun and challenging game. I always have liked the Final Fantasy series. This copy how ever tends to drag sounds out. May just be the emulator, but all the same it was very bad at the end of the SeeD exam. Overall though I would say itâۉâ€ΕΎÂ¢s a fairly nice game.

  • The SeeD exam results don't have a big impact on your overall gameplay, I recommended to level up as little as possible, as the monsters level along with you but get stronger than you do. You can get magic and fuse it to your stats to get extra attack, defence, magic, healthpoints and such to still be able to beat the bosses but not have to level too much.

    Overall I think the game is good, I have it legit on PC and it's a very good game in my opinion.

    this iso however does have a bug where you cant see the battle menu when in combat. To Prevent this i recomend downloading the newest video plugins ( i recomend p.e.op.s Softdriver 1.18 )

  • I remember my brother playing it on a Windows '98 PC (UGH!), and now I'm here to get it for a PSX emulator. I love the music; especially the Laguna theme.

  • Next to Final Fantasy VII, this is the last great rpg to come from Square. Graphically it is superior to VII, but VII has the better story. While I can relate to Squall more than Cloud, lonely and introverted, I loved all of the characters in VII like I knew them all. I love this game because of the subtle love story between Squall and Rinoa. It's quite sad in it's scope really. If you want to experience a true classic, then get this one.........after you get VII. ;)

  • This game introduced me into RPGs. So far I can't seem to forget it. Great music. Squall and Seifer are my favorite icons. FF9 can jump off a cliff.

  • Love Final Fantasy games think they are brilliant but my favourite has gotta be 7 just because it had a great story and characters and really got me into games (seriously was like 5 when it came out) loved the characters as well (not sure about the big cat thing though) but this one is definatly better than 9 because 9 was just not as good.



    But you have gotta love everything in this game although i have played it so many times still takes me days to find the white SeeD ship and that is like the only thing i hate about it.

  • Final Fantasy VIII is one of thr best rpg's around a must play. it is one of my all time favorites along with legend of dragoon and chrono cross. final fantasy VIII has great features and a fun built in card game which changes from place to place.

  • Truly one of the best rpgs out there, this is a classic... play the card game its really fun, i like the story and the junction system rocks! i wish it would have carried through to other games... trust me the best thing to do here is to level up as little as possible but draw good magic and junction it, thatll make things a lot easier, i hated omega weapon though.

  • I downloaded it and put it in my ISO/CSO folder on my PSP but it's not working and I put it in PSP/Game and it said it was corrupted whats wrong ?

  • This game is very good. It was the first FF I played and it sucked me in for hours. It's definately a more mature, serious FF and there's huge emphasis on the characters and their relationships with one another. A very involving game. And the gameplay is perfect for goodness sake...

  • FFVII is overrated when compared to FFVIII and however they BOTH had a unique magic system. VIII had graphs, story, and gameplay was awesome even now. VII had characters not forgotten easily and really good gameplay if at times slow. IX had its funniest people and scenes and I quote *Ooooo soft* LMFAO. Btw for all of you Tifa fans her breasts got bigger through the game and near end were basketball sized so any of these 3 are must haves for a TRUE FF player.

  • 7z files can be extracted using Winrar. Try checking the associated files when you install the winrar. However, I did get some corrupted file errors in downloading some files. I'm not sure if the files are really corrupted or the net f@

  • played allmost all ff's on this planet fully around!!! but sure 7 and 8 are the pearls of this serie!!!
    played 7 2times around( /-230 hour) and 8, 2 'n half times( /-250 hour)(thirt comin up:D)
    and i definatly prefare 8 for 7.. the story don't do it under for 7, but the grapics and battle system and allround, do.. sure 8 is the best rpg ever.. and i seen alot rpg's the 30 yeas i lived :p but its a diferent of taste i guess..

    anyway, i'm so fokkin happy i found it again and hope that i stil can burn it on some cd roms and take my psx out of the dust and put it to work!! whoohoo so much thanks in advance for this share (and all others shares ofc)

  • I didn't know about this game till my cousin showed me this game. I gave me those CD's because he didn't like RPG that much.

    When I tried it, I immediately fell in love with this game. This game is the greatest of all FF series. Too bad I bought this game several time to get to CD 3 but all of them broke and didn't work (Didn't get the chance to finish the game xO)

    Then I played FF7, graphics sucks, gameplay ok, storyline BEST !!

  • I haven't really play FFVIII, but I found that FFVII and FFIX are fun games. FFVII I'd rate the "story" - 3 stars "character development" - 4 stars.
    Some parts of FFVII were a bit butchered by typos. The characters were interesting, I found that square's characters for FFVII were more interesting then its story.

    FFIX I'd rate the "story" - 5 stars and "character development" - 5 stars.
    This game had in-depth story that sucks you into the game. The choice of characters were interesting to the plot of the story.
